Just trying to have more fun with Stellaris so what do you do and how do you do it. What should I be doing then? What should I be expecting? Do you play it like a 4X game turn based game but in real time, or do you play it differently? I find the game goes too slow even on the fastest speed. So I like to know how does everyone play Stellaris. Thing is, maybe I am playing Stellaris wrong. So now after taking time off Stellaris I see a new patch is coming in October. I installed mods and really had a good time while short it was, money well spent. While vanilla Stellaris I didn't like because I want more control over my planets and kept reading how horrible Sectors are that turned me off even more. I got it about a month after release because of the sound track.

I was playing Masters of Orion at the time so never bought Stellaris day one.

I guess the "fan boys" have put the game on a pedestal so high and putting the games other people play down, that I had huge expectations of the game. When I play Stellaris I usually play it like as I would a turn based 4X game like Civ or MOO. I am curious how do people play Stellaris.
